    Porsche PCCB Explained

    Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake uses ceramic-composite discs with compatible pads and model-specific hardware. PCCB condition and replacement decisions should not be based on the same visual assumptions or simple thickness checks used for iron discs.

    What the system does

    • Provides a lightweight, high-performance brake-disc system.
    • Uses components designed to operate together as a fitted package.
    • Changes inspection, handling and parts decisions compared with steel brakes.

    Models and applications

    • Optional or standard on selected Turbo, GT and high-performance models.
    • Available across several 911, Cayenne, Panamera and 718 applications.
    • Rotor size and generation vary; yellow calipers alone are not the full parts specification.

    Normal characteristics

    • Some brake noise can depend on temperature, contamination and use.
    • Visual surface appearance differs from an iron rotor.
    • Low road use does not remove the need for inspection.
