Porsche PDCC Explained
Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control is an active anti-roll system designed to reduce body roll. Hardware and operating principle vary by platform, so hydraulic and electromechanical applications should not be treated as identical.
What the system does
- Actively counters body roll during cornering.
- Works with chassis sensors and other stability systems.
- Allows roll control beyond a conventional passive anti-roll bar.
Models and applications
- Selected Cayenne and Panamera variants.
- Selected 911 configurations by generation and option.
- Fitment must be confirmed rather than inferred from trim alone.
Normal characteristics
- System intervention is generally not felt as a discrete event.
- Ride and roll behaviour still vary with tyres, dampers and drive mode.
- A non-equipped car should not be diagnosed as having a PDCC fault.
Warning signs
- A PDCC or chassis warning.
- Unexpected body roll, noise or fluid leakage on hydraulic applications.
- Multiple chassis warnings after a low-voltage event.
Diagnostic considerations
- Identify system generation and operating principle.
- Scan related chassis modules and inspect mechanical or hydraulic hardware.
- Test power supply before condemning active components.
