XENTRY scan and directed testing
Read compatible Mercedes fault information, freeze-frame context and relevant live data, then use physical or electrical tests where needed. A code report is the starting point for a fault investigation; clearing codes is not a repair.

Supported module coding
Coding concerns configuration. Check the VIN, module part number, current equipment, requested change and any required permissions before confirming that a function can be carried out.

Programming eligibility
Programming concerns module software and can require suitable equipment, stable power, compatible software and manufacturer or account access. Confirm these requirements and module compatibility before accepting the job.

Report and post-work checks
Explain the findings, agreed changes and unresolved faults. After supported coding or programming, review relevant faults and test the affected functions; further hardware repair is quoted separately.
Diagnostic findings and module compatibility
A used or replacement control unit is not automatically compatible or programmable. Supply the module label and part number where available; ownership or authorization may be needed for restricted functions. We confirm scope before you purchase a replacement module.

No blanket coverage is promised. Support depends on the vehicle, module, requested function, compatible equipment and any required access. The workshop confirms eligibility before booking.
No. Scanning retrieves diagnostic information; coding configures supported settings; programming writes compatible software. A wiring or voltage fault may need repair before any software work.
Not by itself. Fault codes and live data show what a control unit observed. Voltage, wiring, pressure, signal or mechanical tests may still be needed before a component is recommended.
Yes, subject to vehicle access and recovery. The first step is to separate no power, no crank, slow crank, crank-no-start and start-and-stall because each pattern requires different battery, starter, authorization, fuel or engine tests.
The complaint, number of systems involved, time needed to reproduce the fault, available module access and required physical or electrical tests determine the diagnostic scope. The initial stage is agreed before further work.
Performance tuning is a separate assessment on the tuning page. A diagnostic or coding request does not establish suitability for a performance software change.
